The Royal Natal Slack Packing Trail

Slackpacking in the Drakensberg mountains of South Africa is a hiking experience where you carry a light pack while, your main gear is transported to your overnight stop. This allows you to hike faster and focus on the scenery.

What to expect:

All accommodation will be in lodges.

All food is supplied, including lunch packs.

Luggage will be transported to your next overnight stop.

A registered mountain guide will be with you all the time, to guide and tell you more about the magnificent Drakensberg.

What is available:

A budget option with two nights at Witsieshoek Lodge plus a day trip to Tugela Falls, the highest waterfall in the world.

A luxury option with two nights at The Cavern and two nights at Witsieshoek, with a day trip to Tugela Falls.

All shuttle costs, luggage transport and meals included, (excluding alcoholic drinks).
